This service is currently available only for DynamicPDF 1.0 and DynamicMSS 1.0. If you are intersted to see this service available with other products, please let us know. It is a service that will be available for businesses that would like to give their clients the ability to generate reports in PDF/PS/HTML/Word/Excel/PowerPoint format with their customized information on the generated document. This service gives you the ability to generate those reports in real time without having to sacrifice a lot of time, effort, or money. With this service, you do not need to worry about maintenance, support to your application, runtime problems and issues, programming upgrades and debugging, server resources, languages used, etc. because you are counting on us to do all that!

Would like to convert/generate reports to PDF/PS/HTML/Word/Excel/PowerPoint with extreme flexibility.
Would like to be able to customize generated PDF/PS/HTML/Word/Excel/PowerPoint reports by including their clients' data.

Do not have complex web server capabilities like ColdFusion Server, but who would like to use one!

How does it work? Top

Here is how this works:

1. You generate your document on your server in html format.
2. You pass the URL with some encrypted key security values, we will supply you with, to a URL on our server.
3. We run DynamicPDF 1.0 or DynamicMSS 1.0 for you on our servers to convert your page to PDF/PS/HTML/Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
4. We then send you the generated page in one of two forms:

We can FTP the generated document to your server. You can then do anything you want to do with the document.
We can create a popup from your server with the generated PDF/PS/HTML/Word/Excel/PowerPoint. This way, when your client clicks on "Generate PDF" for example, a popup window will show with the generated document. This popup window will have no toolbars or address bar, which will make your client think they are still on your server. While in fact they are viewing a PDF document from our servers.

5. We delete the copy we created on our servers. No copies will be left on our servers unless demanded so by our clients for storage or archiving purposes.

How am I guaranteed security?   Top

All the steps above are done automatically, with no intervention by any of our developers. We do guarantee that your data is safe, and will NOT be kept, copied, transferred, or handled in any manner on our servers. The passed encrypted key will ensure security in exchanging data between our servers. Furthermore, depending on the level of security requirements, other stricter measurements can be undertaken.

How do I set it up to work?   Top

We will help you with steps 1, 2 and 4 above. We will show you how to make the data available for our web service to work, and we will show you when to expect to receive your generated document on your server. We will walk you through the whole process, and make sure it is functioning as you expect. We do not require an IT effort or expertise on your end besides the usual connection set up process.

How long does it usually take to set this up?   Top

It depends on many factors including:

1. How many times you are expected to connect to our servers a month.
2. How easy for us to connect to your servers and get the application going.
3. What security measurements your application requires.

Those three points tend to be the major factors in deciding how long the application will take to set up. We will let you know how long it will take before we start working on it. On average, it usually takes around 2 to 5 business days to set up.

All data presented is per month.

The monthly charges will include maintenance, FREE upgrades of DynamicPDF 1.0 and DynamicMSS 1.0 products, FREE upgrades on web server capabilities, and 24/7 on-sight developers. There are no contracts to sign, you can cancel anytime.

You can write an example on your server and call up our test web service to test this application live. We only provide testing for the second option of the service (popup window on your server). Here are the steps:

Create an html page on your server, call it "test1.html".
Create a test file (any web language!). Put the following text in it: (yourpagehere below refers to your server plus any directories plus your file name above "test1.html". For example: http://www.yourserver.com/dir1/test1.html).

Click on the link above "Generate PDF", and you will see a popup window with the actual PDF version of your html page.

Please remember that the test application above does not give you the option to supply formatting attributes in the generated PDF document (like specifying whether you want the output to be in lanscape vs. portrait, supplying a header for the document, etc.) You will be able to supply options in the actual application. Those options will be either set once for all your generated pages, or user-controlled.

After going through the steps above, a popup window will show with the PDF document version of your html page. Since this is a test application, Gilgamesh Solutions, Inc. credentials will show on the generated document, however, during the actual service, those credentials will be replaced with yours. You will also be given specific USERID and security key to encrypt the information above.

Following the same steps would work to generate Word/Excel/PowerPoint with the real service.

Please remember that upon the generation of your documents, they could be ftp'ed directly to your server instead of displaying it in a popup window. Please let us know how you prefer your application be displayed.
